1. Good skin at 45 starts at 20. It’s being consistent about the unsexy things like wearing a hat and sunscreen. You don’t even need to spend a lot to do this. 2. No matter the amount or quality of skincare you use, if your daily habits include smoking, sunbathing and stressing - it’s impossible to reverse that damage with a cream. 3. The dark / age spots that pop up in your 40s were actually created in your 20’s 4. The skincare industry pushes solving problems that ready exist (like an acne patch for acne) because it’s easier to sell you something to fix a problem you see. We should be preventing issues before they are visible - especially dark spots and fine lines - because once they appear, we are already behind. Most people won’t buy things they don’t think they need though. 5. At 45 our cell turnover is so much slower and our skin begins to thin. This is the year where you see the biggest jump in aging. Make sure you protect your barrier at all costs at this time. At this age, a dark spot is an 8 week process and we think we are doing ourselves favors by using too many actives but really we need to nourish and protect and give our skin time to rest and turnover. 6. Maximizing the ability of your own skin renewal is the best way to have good skin. Using products (like the moonseed treatment) that allow your own skin to regenerate and soothe is so critical.
